Questions from suppliers
What the practice will and will not do on a bid. No award rate is stated anywhere on this site, because none has been published.
Which solicitations do you support?
Solicitations from public buyers at any level: federal departments and agencies, Crown corporations, provinces and territories, and municipalities. The commodity can be information technology, professional services, construction, goods, or another requirement. The buyer-side practice is not limited to large systems, and neither is this work.
Do you write the whole proposal, or review ours?
Either. Writing, review, and a compliance check are all part of the work. A compliance check alone is possible when a draft is already complete. Send the file at least 10 business days before the bid closing. Earlier is better.
Will you tell us not to bid?
Yes, when the mandatory criteria are not met and cannot be met within the solicitation. A recommendation not to bid is a useful product. It costs less than a non-compliant submission.
Do you guarantee an award?
No. No award rate, shortlist rate, or success rate is published. Buyer-side figures, including $3.5B+ in spend managed, are not bid statistics.
Will you fill a gap in our experience?
Not with fiction. The response uses the company's real projects, people, and certifications. If something required is missing, the choice is to gather real evidence, to team where the solicitation allows, or not to bid.
What should we send?
The solicitation, every amendment issued so far, the closing date, a plain description of what the company does, and the draft if one exists. Do not send another bidder's documents, and do not send classified information by email.
Who submits the bid?
The supplier signs off on the final bid. When required, the practice can also submit it, in addition to writing and reviewing it.
What if you are already advising the buyer on this solicitation?
We never work for both sides of the same procurement. Name the buyer and the solicitation number before any draft is shared.
How are fees set?
Every engagement is priced by quote, based on scope. Tell us what you need and we will send a quote.
Do you work in French?
Yes. Services are offered in English and French. Read the French page.
